Agvet chemical users in and around Melbourne and Sydney now have access to ChemClear’s new permanent facilities.
The new site in Laverton North, Melbourne and St Marys, Sydney will hold collections once a month to service users looking to get rid of chemicals they no longer need or want.
Chemical users in Melbourne and Sydney and surrounding areas no longer need to wait for a state collection to be scheduled.
Registrations are still essential to utilise the new service.
Users are asked to take an inventory of their chemicals and register them for next month’s collection at 1800 008 182 or on our Registration Page.
An appointment time and address will be provided to all registrants and receipt provided at the delivery point once the chemicals are signed off.
Ninety eight per cent of the chemical collected is used as an alternative fuel source in the manufacturing of cement. Most of the material is destroyed in kilns which reach temperatures in excess of 1800°C.
